Shavkat Karimov - Tashkent, Uzbekistan

Shavkat is the originator of the "Hero" idea. We had told him that we wanted him to focus on a single person and in telling us his ideas and what he loved about Uzbekistan he kept referring to the person in his moments as the "hero." While they are of course all ordinary people like you and I, the "hero" name stuck and we all began to use it. They are after all, the "hero" of that moment in time. Shavkat is a hero too!
