Tapes coming from Antarctica took a number of weeks to arrive at the production offices of A Moment on Earth due to the infrequency of boat travel to the US outpost. The Antarctica team was a part of a 60 member team that captured moments on August 5th and 6th, 2004 at 12:00pm GMT and again exactly 12 hours later as part of Satellite Films' independent documentary series, A Moment on Earth.
